THE
OUTDOOR BASIC FIRST AID CLASS is a three-hour class for anyone who ventures
outside. This particular class is specifically geared to the off-road
motorcyclists. This discussion and hands-on lesson will teach motorcyclists the
warning signs, symptoms, things to do and not to do when an outdoor medical
emergency exists. The topics listed below will be explained and the student
will keep the text booklet. The lecture will start promptly at

THE
COUSRE will
cover the following topics:
The ABC’s of first aid; Dislocations/Fractures; Frostbite; Head and neck injuries; Heat Stroke/exhaustion (Hyperthermia), Exposure (Hypothermia); Lacerations; Internal bleeding; Shock; Recovery position/leaving a patient to go get help; When to intervene and take charge of a patient; Helicopter protocols; EMS protocols; Communications; First Aid pack suggestions (what to carry with you); and other pertinent subjects.
Costs:
$15.00 per student. Please make checks out to Bogus Basin Ski Patrol.
The class size is limited to 25 students; first to send their registration
and money will be the first served. Other classes may be scheduled if needed.
